What Pards Tour is
Pards Tour is a web-based golf scoring and tournament management app for private groups, weekly leagues, golf trips, club championships and corporate events. It runs at pardstour.com and installs to a phone home screen straight from the browser — there is nothing to download from an app store.
It is free: no subscription, no per-player fee, no credit card. Organisers have a login. Players do not need an account at all — they join a round by typing a short code or tapping a link.

Registration → roster and handicaps → flights and teams → the draft → tee sheet → live scoring on the phone → a live leaderboard for spectators → side games and money → an Excel export for the pro shop → scores posted to Golf Canada.
Most golf apps do one part of that. Pards Tour does the whole chain, and every part shares the same data — so a handicap entered once is the handicap used everywhere.

Golf Canada integration
This is a genuine two-way integration with the Golf Canada handicap system, not a link out to a website.

Pards Tour does not compute handicap indexes — it consumes them. The handicap authority stays the authority.
Handicaps, done properly
- Course handicap by the standard formula: Index × (Slope ÷ 113) + (Course Rating − Par), per tee.
- 132 courses built in, each tee carrying its own rating, slope, par, per-hole yardage and per-hole stroke index — including front-nine and back-nine ratings for nine-hole play.
- Combo tees are resolved by yardage, not by name. Courses name them inconsistently — "Deck 2-3 Combo", "Blue/White Hybrid", "Royal (Blue/Gold)", or just "Combo". The app works out which tee each individual hole plays from by matching that hole's yardage against the course's pure tees. All 157 combo tees in the library resolve.
- Mixed tees in one group. Four players on four different tees in the same foursome all get the right strokes.
- Per-round snapshots. The index a player was on the day they played is frozen with that round, so a round pulled up six months later shows what they actually played off.
Tournaments and events
- Public registration page per event, with switches for which fields to collect.
- Check-in and payment tracking — who registered, who paid, how much is collected.
- Roster matching by handicap ID, then email, then phone — never by name alone.
- Flights bracketed automatically by handicap, with manual override per player.
- Teams, captains and a live draft, with a remote board so people not in the room can watch.
- Tee sheets — tee times, groups, shotgun hole assignments, a scorecard code per group.
- Excel export for the pro shop: name, Golf Canada ID, playing handicap, tee, flight, all 18 holes, Out, In and Gross — with birdies, eagles, bogeys and doubles colour-coded. It warns you before the file leaves if anyone is missing a handicap ID.
Live scoring and spectators
- Hole-by-hole scoring for the whole group from one phone, or every player scoring their own card.
- Gross and net, with strokes allocated by each hole's stroke index for the tee actually played.
- Scramble, best ball, stroke play and shotgun starts.
- A round in progress is held on the phone and synced, so a weak signal on the back nine does not lose the card.
- Pards Live — a public leaderboard with a scrolling ticker for the clubhouse screen, shareable by link and protected by a viewer PIN.
Side games
Eight games, all scored automatically from the card and settled at the end:
Snake (3-putt game) · 2v2 Nassau high-low with auto-presses and The International · 1v1 Nassau · 6-Point Game · Stableford · Skins with carryovers, gross or net · Vegas with the birdie flip · Match Cards, for playing 1v1 against golfers in other groups.
Each player picks which games they want to see, so anyone who only wants a scorecard gets a scorecard and nothing else.
How it is built
- A progressive web app — plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript over HTTPS. Installs to a phone home screen from the browser. Updates are live for everyone the moment they ship; there is no app store review.
- Front end on GitHub Pages; API on Cloudflare Workers with a Cloudflare D1 database at the edge.
- No servers to run and no hosting bill — which is exactly why the app can be free.
- One database behind everything: the same roster, handicaps and course library feed the scorer, the leaderboard, the export and the Golf Canada posting.
